CALL FOR PAPERS


About Research Paper Presentations
10 minutes per presentation with 5 minutes of questions
Formal presentation made by one or more speakers meant to share research results or completed work, innovative evaluation concepts, methodologies, or tools. Each presentation should be no longer than 10 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for questions. This will be conducted as a single online track. Your research paper should be in line with any of the track themes and we hope to delegate one day for each track. The final list of selected papers will be ranked through a blind review process and will be eligible for FARU Awards.

Presentation schedule and process
The Virtual Conference site link will be posted in the FARU 2020 website a week before the event with the Conference programme. Meanwhile, each selected participant will be informed via email regarding the allocated time of presentation. Thus, participants are required to confirm their registration and the presence either through video or as a recorded presentation. Please note only the registered participant will be able to present, thus we advise you to register at the earliest. All presentations will be uploaded to the FARU YouTube Channel at the end of the conference. All registered presenters either through video or as a recorded will be awarded with a participatory certificate. Therefore, participants are expected to clearly state the address at the row (where mentioned) in the Full paper submission form. .

Selected papers of all tracks will be accepted for presentation and published in the soft and hard copy of the Conference proceedings bearing an ISBN number. Each selected full paper will be provided with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The best six papers among the selected will be published in the FARU Journal Vol.07 bearing ISSN 20126301, as a hard copy at the Conference and, a soft copy in the Sri Lanka Journals Online (SLJOL) with a DOI. The research paper submissions are open to researchers, academics, practitioners and under-graduates. If the authors wish to apply for the FARU Awards, you may do so by submitting the FARU Awards Submission form.

Submission of Full Paper
Full papers are invited to be submitted for double blind review process (Please note that WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS THIS YEAR as practiced in previous years). The full paper should be a maximum of 12 pages in length. Please use Guidelines for the preparation of Final Paper template to prepare the full paper. Do not include the author details with the full paper but fill in the Full paper submission form. Both the full paper and the submission form should be uploaded via email to faru@uom.lk

Once the paper is submitted via e-mail, an “Identification Number” will be allocated for each submission. Selected authors will be invited to submit Camera ready paper after amending reviewer comments. The Camera-ready paper should be submitted in word format together with the Conference Registration form to faru@uom.lk

CALL FOR POSTERS


Research Poster Display and Presentation
120 minute session
Poster sessions provide an opportunity to share research and practice-based work with participants under an academic and general track. Research posters are meant to share summarize information briefly and attractively to help publicize the generated discussion. A jury will evaluate each selected poster before the conference and the best will be eligible for FARU Awards.

Presentation schedule and process
The Virtual Conference site link will be posted in the FARU 2020 website a week before the event with the Conference programme. All selected posters will be compiled into a video presentation with the name of the author and the abstract title. And this video will be played at the opening and after each track session of the conference. Please note only the registered participant will be able to present, thus we advise you to register at the earliest. All poster video will be uploaded to the FARU YouTube Channel at the end of the conference. All registered participants will be awarded with a participatory certificate. Therefore, participants are expected to clearly state the address at the row (where mentioned) in the Full_paper Submission form.

All selected Poster abstracts will be published in the soft and hard copy of the Conference proceedings bearing an ISBN number. The conference aims at carrying out a double bind review process on the basis of originality, clarity, completeness, relevance and significance to the field of study. The research poster submissions are open to researchers, academics, practitioners, industry, under-graduates and post-graduates. If the authors wish to apply for the FARU Awards, you may do so by submitting the FARU Awards Submission form.

Submission of Poster Abstract and Poster
Abstract of 250-300 words are invited to be submitted for a blind review process. Please use Guidelines for poster abstract and poster format template to prepare the submission. Do not include the author details with the abstract but fill in the Poster Poster submission form.Both the abstract and the poster submission form should be uploaded via the submissions tab of the FARU 2020 Conference management system. In addition, please forward a PDF version to faru@uom.lk

Once the abstract is submitted through the Conference Management System and via e-mail, an “Identification Number” will be allocated for each submission. Selected authors will be invited to submit Printed Posters after amending reviewer comments. The Poster should be submitted in PDF format together with the Conference Registration form to faru@uom.lk
