Welcome to the Integrated Design Research (IDR) interdisciplinary platform that encourages collaboration between design research, design education, design practise and design industry that works towards advancing theories, methods, concepts, and practices of design, locally and globally. IDR is part of the Department of Integrated Design, Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. It focuses itself as a key contributor towards uplifting design within the region to discuss design in Asia, vernacular practices and contribution of design-subcultures to the field of design, creative economy through research and practice.

IDR seeks the development of design science, technological innovation via integration of design thinking, prescriptive knowledge, validation and practice across multi-disciplines.
