Professor Kaushal Keraminiyage is the Programme Director for the M.Sc. project Management in Construction Programme at the University of Salford, England, UK. He is also the Departmental Lead for the Internationalisation for the School of Science Engineering and the Environment at the same University. He is Professor of Societal Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction. His current research interests are particularly linked with the resilient and sustainable communities within the context of smart cities and digitalisation. He has also held academic positions at University of Huddersfield, UK. His First Degree was in Quantity Surveying [First Class Honours] and an alumnus of the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. His Doctorate was obtained from the University of Salford, UK, in the area of Construction Process Management. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK and a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Alliance of Disaster Research Institutes (GADRI). He also served as a visiting Professor at the Kyoto University, Japan. He has supervised over 15 PhD students and examined over 40 PhD candidates world-wide; and has acted as an External Examiner to many undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in many universities all over the world. He has contributed over 125 publications in various international journals and conferences and has hosted, managed and spoken at many conferences in his areas of expertise. He has managed several large multi-disciplinary research projects both as Principal Investigator and a Co-Investigator. He has mentored and supported academics and scientists in various organisations; conducted may Doctoral training programmes, and supported many organisations through skills development and continuing professional development activities (CPD).
